Analytical Facilities

The Centre for Analytical Sciences is housed in a modern purpose-built facility within the Department of Chemistry and is exceptionally well equipped to undertake R&D and specialist contract work.

Main facilities include:

ICP mass spectrometry

ICP Emission Spectrometry

  • Spectro Ciros and Spectro Arcos

Laser Ablation 

  • New Wave 213 nm and 266 nm Nd Yag lasers
  • CETAC LSX 200 (266 nm) Nd Yag laser

Molecular Mass Spectrometry

  • Applied Biosystems Q Star Elite (ESI and MALDI)
